Hi there to all OMF's
I have a 1999 Omega CDX with 63,000 miles on the clock and I am aiming to return and maintain the car to as pristine condition as I can. Recently I have had the bodywork organised and am putting the vehicle in for a complete liquid change in the autumn.
There is however a niggling problem with the driver's door locking. As I use the fob to lock all doors, the driver's door does not operate. Similarly, to unlock all the doors , the driver's door button stays firmly down. I have had to use the technique of opening the offside passenger door while all other doors are closed then press the driver's button down to lock the car. To open the locked car I have done the procedure in reverse.
Is the problem with the door lock motor or is it to do with the central locking mechanism?
I would welcome any information as to the best way to deal with niggle.
Regards Frank Green

Sounds like the door lock, but Kevin will confirm in a moment. :y

Welcomes done! It definitely sound like the central locking solenoid on the affected door. Replaced several, not a difficult job to do, and they are cheap from a scrap Omega. Plenty of info on here about the issue, just need to put it in the search box.
