Hi, I have a Omega v6 2.6 elite 03 plate, she is immaculate. Automatic. A plug is broken in the engine bay. As you look at the engine from the front it is on the right hand side. the socket comes from the loom, the plug runs down the side of the oil dipstick, it disappears down the side. Can anyone tell me what it is for and where does it go at the lower end. I just replaced my crankshaft sensor, I now have the spanner in the roof come up. car runs fine, but it must do something. It has 2 internal spade connectors
Thanks in advance

Do the pedal trick. The code should give you the answer

As Rob G says, do the pedal trick, and post up results :y
Could be 2 or 3 things, probably knock sensor or cam sensor there...

Thanks so far, I would drive the car to the shops, come out and it would not start, so as with my other Omegas replaced the crankshaft sensor. I then did the pedal test and it came up with 10 flashes, 3 flashes, 3 flashes, 5 flashes.
That I took as a crankshaft sensor fault, so the damaged plug? is that a camshaft sensor? it does not affect the running of the car but it was fitted for a reason
Thanks, Mick

A picture paints a thousand words ;)

cannot download, press image icon and nothing happens, there is only one plug next to the dipstick at the loom, no ideas?

Probably knock sensor... But a picture would confirm.
There's a guide for Photobucket in the Newbie section :y
