Title: Engine fan running in econ mode.

Is it normal for the fan to run, with the climate control in econ? Set at 21c to windscreen only. Also I've noticed a lot of vaper from the exhaust, when when the engine is up to temperature, is this because the Ecotec engines seem to produce a lot of heat?
