They're a bit strange up North

I mean really REALLY strange . . . . . . why on earth are are bolt cutters in the electrical aisle    ???

That's Sheffield for you. Other parts of the North, they would have stolen the bolt cutters, used them to steal bikes, and flogged them on Gumtree.
