Nah. It's for him. Spends most of his time flitting around the house with a duster and vacuum cleaner in his pinnie and headscarf  ::)

Are you getting excited, Opti? Mine's coming this afternoon.

It's hard to get excited about a domestic appliance but it does seem good value for money, especially as several retailers are charging £300 plus.

Mrs Opti is less excited about my benevolent act and has started to give me that 'fu*k you look'. It could all turn nasty. ;D

Ungrateful wench. Tell her, if she's not interested in a new vacuum cleaner, her sister might be.

Her sister has more 'suck' than a vac. :)

It's arrived and I've had a quick read of the manual. It's German, therefore it has about five filters in order to maintain ze efficiency of ze product!  ;D Motor filter, exhaust filter, hepa filter, dust filter, fluff filter...........and maybe some I've missed.
If you thought your German car was a pain in the arse, wait till you've had this little bastard to bits a thousand times. ;D

I think perhaps a little henry may have been less hassle.

I've been moaning like the real grumpy old git that I am about Black Bloody Friday for days, mostly bull**t

My in box is full of BF crap. One from Screwfix annouced a "special" black friday deal on a Bosch voltage detector, at exactly the same price that I paid for one about over a month ago.

However, in January I need to be in London for a few days, and also an overnight stay at Gatwick. 3 nights Travelodge in West London 2 minutes walk to a station with free car parking £98 total. Gatwick Airport Travelodge £20. So maybe NOT all BS then  ;)

It does well for a paltry 700w.

We also have a Miele with a a 2000w motor.

Nope, its all BS. No cheaper than it would have otherwise been. Just like the ECP/DFS type sales, Black Friday is another opportunity for a savvy business to get money from stupid people. Much like the January sales, or these retail outlets like Bicester Village.

I had a 'black friday' deal emailed to me from a company I usually buy photo paper from....they were offering a massive 50% off certain paper products.

When I looked at their website it was indeed 50% off certain products I do buy from them.....BUT the offer they usually have running of buy one get one free had magically disappeared  ::) ::)

Well' I've been watching exactly same hotela, exactly same dates, exactly same booking terms for some time. I saved over £100. BS or not I'm happy on this one.

BTW, Curry's Massive "Black Event Saving" on a certain TV is exactly the same as the RRP, really not such a big deal. It all boils down to doing a bit of research.

Well I was looking at buying a colour laser printer a few weeks ago and as per usual didn't bother with the purchase.

Ebuyer have knocked a tenner of it on a black Friday deal. nothing fantastic, but also got 500 sheets of paper for free, so lets see what it's like. :y
