Before I buy are the Osram Night Breaker or the Phillips Extreme more suited to the standard Omega 2.2 CD's headlights?
Anyone using either and what's your thoughts?
Thanks

I can only say that the nightbreakers I had on my old Dti were slightly better than the standard bulbs, but not as good as the xenons I have now. IMHO.

Makes you wonder whether if its worth the change.

They are better, but not massively - also won't last as long. Having said that I have them in both of mine with Xenons.

I fitted some Halford 120% brighter bulbs to my Omega the other week and they made a massive difference, I can actually see the animals before I turn them into roadkill now. ;)

If they achieve that by higher wattages, you should be aware that the plastic headlamp lens melts easily.

No it's not done by wattage just checked the box as I kept my old ones in them as spares and the new ones are 55 watts. Don't know how they work but they do.

Andy I might be worth checking that your head light lenses aren't tarnished/deteriorated as that has a massive difference to your light out put.

I'll be out in the cold wet working on my son.s car brakes this morning. I will have a good look at them.
Thanks

My nearside light lenses is yellow and faded, though I have xenons in my CDX. Does the deterioration effect xenons as badly? Can't see much difference between my clear offside when reflected on other cars?

Just got a set of H1 Osram Night Breakers. Fitted the O/S one and when it gets dark, will see if there is any difference between that and the N/S standard.
Also got the 3M headlight restore kit to try.
Thanks
