Hi everyone.
Firstly I have to say I love some of the Omega characteristics such as the comfort and quality of ride but, sadly, after 3 years I fancy a change. I cover around 8000 miles a year so fuel economy is a factor, it's not the main priority :y
What are the experiences of people on here going from the Omega to say a Volvo S60 etc..
Like I said above, I love the comfort and quality of ride but I want something that is noticeably quicker with better handling. Which shouldn't be difficult as mine is the 2.2dti GLS !!! Looking at both derv and petrol (unless it has Subaru Impreza levels of mpg!!)
I'm going to wait until mid January and will have a max budget of £4500...

If going Volvo, buy a manual :y

And your low annual mileage suggests that a diesel isn't a good idea either.
I would happily replace my Omega with a big Volvo. They were the two choices when I bought it 5 years ago.

Definitely gonna be a manual...
Volvo is the front runner, not sold on Saab's. I know 07 onward Mondeos are good.... but perhaps a little too mundane. French stuff is out of the question....

Hi everyone. the Subaru you mentioned . I recently was a passenger in one all motorway driving & the guy whose car it was showing off touching a 100+mph. it wasn't like an omega which you hardly feel its speeding. the Subaru felt to me that at a speed it wasn't comfortable
