Try reseating the cluster...

But we've had this conversation before... bouncing leads to needing a new cluster when the speedo finally dies.

Presume abs/tc lights working as normal  :-\

Speedos all the same, I think, however, the whole binnacle will differ from petrol to diesel (think the glowplug light, for instance) so any old binnacle may well plug in fine, but you's no doubt have certain issues. Might well be possible to install just the speedo into your existing binnacle, thought suspect it's going to be far easier to get the 'right' one in the first place.

Yours is V6 yes? Should be the easiest binnacle to source on here, surely?

No. 4 pots go to 140mph, V6 go to 160mph  :y

Bugger, yes, of course, 4 pots will read slower, too. I suppose the spacing between each increment would be different, too, throwing the readout off by a fair bit. have to check on the spares Omega, that's a 2.0...

Speedos vary with engine and age.  Pre 1998, its horrifically complex.
