our bloody call center are getting calls with customer problems and instead of taking details of the faults properly are trying to sell extra contracts etc. meantime us lowly engineers are turning up at customers houses with wrong parts and poor info, but as long as the call center has their commission sod us ! :( >:( >:(

I wanted to know who had removed "Basic grasp on the English/Welsh lanuage" to be a formal requirment

the customers are always complaining about not being able to understand our lot but i have to tell them the call center is in this country !! ;)

Our lot are always complaining about not being able to understand customers.
Pet Hate of mine - hearing my teams have to decline the customer invitation/ demand to talk in some foreign language. >:(

Some tw*t who thinks you might be sued for discrimnation of course. Usually a middle manager, commonly in HR.

I had a field Engineer call us to decode the gibberish that he had got sent to his pager.. it read
"pax kal 2 eye bea ehate, con man fall 0chueq look 4 Fraudings"
Should of read
"Patch to IBH, Coin mech fail - Fraud Optic Error"

So where is your call centre then?

It was in Burton, its now in Bangor, North Wales with the R&D and Tech side.
I used to be involded with the interviewing and training of new staff but jesus... some of the new guys...
