Title: Electric memory seat conversion.
Post by: 38MV6 on 11 December 2016, 13:29:39
I'm just never satisfied, >:( I changed from cloth manual seats to electric leather which was no problem.  But now I've gone and got some leather memory front seats, so apart from the longer securing bolts that have to get, which I can sort tomorrow.  However the problem I have is the large multi-pin block is missing on the drivers side, but it is on the passengers side?  The passenger seat works fine.  But the drivers seat don't do a thing.  Do I have to pull out all the interior and move the large multi-pin block over to the drivers side or am I missing something?  It is a R.H.D ex-plod car, if that makes any difference.  PLEASE HELP... :'(

Would that be the one you did?  I followed that after posting my question.  but still not working, and now I have a three seater omega.   :'(  :'( I think I've done something wrong, other than ruining a front seat. I'm I suppose to join the wires before they go in the plug or after? :o

Paying particular attention to the compatibility section - you cannot mix seats from different eras.

All wiring mods down on under seat loom, and only on the wires going to that one connector.  Join the 2 browns together, and join the 2 reds and the black together.

The donor omega was a 2001 and my victim is a 52-plate.  So should be compatible?  On closer inspection it looks like the large brown wire is black on the seat?

Ignore the wiring colours in the guide, but be 100% positive that you join the wires identified as being in the same positions as the guide...
