Post by: Andyv6 on 16 December 2016, 12:39:11
98 mfl elite 3.0l climate control not controlling correctly if it is set at lo great blows cold set at high blows nice and hot set it any where else and it has a mind of its own set it let's say 22 it gets to around that figure then starts blowing cold again, try upping it a few degrees and still the same(cold) but if you put it back at hi will get hot again any ideas ?
I've had a quick look at the rods on the actuators and they all seem to be ok.

Is your outside temperature sensor reading correctly?

The facelift cars use the outside temperature to screw up modify the inside temperature. If the outside sensor isn't working correctly then the inside temperature becomes high or low with no control in between.

I don't know if the MFL had this 'feature' :-\

using the outside air temp sensor to help control the interior temp is only applicable to face lift .... MFL didn't
