Title: Transit Batteries under the Seat question
Post by: zirk on 02 January 2017, 16:08:41
Transit 2011 2.4 Diesel 100/T350, been tasked with changing the Battery ('ies) on this, looks like the seat has to come off?

I quick look whilst the seat is still fitted is it looks like 2 batteries under there?, looks all a bit tight, anyone know what battery types these are so I can a least get the batteries ordered prior to doing the task.

did a google but no joy.

Ta.

Battery cover off, then seat fully forward :y

Clamp is one bolt, 10mm iirc and all the terminals are accessible  :y

What symptoms? They have two batteries, one for starting and one for everything else...

cheers Al, no idea what the problem is, guessing the Batts are just a bit tied and this time of year, etc, juzt been told to get on with it, if I can get the Battery Type and order in advance might be able to save myself a couple of quid.  ;)

Ps. Got your pics by the way, re alloys thanks again for that, just been too busy lately.  :y

No worries :y

Re Transhit, if it starts but always asks for the radio code, it's the rear battery and if everything works except the starter it's the front one iirc ;)
