Hi all,
I am looking put a new oil breather gasket on my dads Y plate Facelift 2.2 Petrol Auto.
I noticed a little bit of oil there (I did the Cam cover - Genuine GM) a few months ago and they are all bone dry and no problem. The oil being a little around the place the pipe mounts to.
I suspect the gasket on the end of the hockey stick cam cover oil breather pipe needs replacing. This is the Small gasket at the end of the breather pipe where it bolts (from memory) onto the top of the bell housing (passenger side) with two 8mm or 10mm nuts ?
I took all off for ease when did the camcover ::)
Anybody know what the part number is for the gasket ? I assume, to be safe, that a thin smear of the black GM Gasket sealer (as used on the rocker cover) will not do any harm (providing all is clean and dry.
thanks in advance and Happy new hear to one and all.
Andy.
