Light came on when i started car today, checked tank and it took 1 litre of water i checked for leaks and couldn't see nothing. Could it be HBV even though i changed this for genuine part about 3 years ago any ideas? Hoping its nothing more sinister :(
-
Try a different heater setting and see if loss rate changes. Three years is about right for what is, essentially, a service item ;)
-
Ahh right so it could well be that again, thanks Gollum,i;ll alter heating and check for leaks. I'm thinking its a slow leak and now come to light. I was thinking the HBV was good for a good while
-
There's a couple of other things it might be, but it's easy to check, and a likely candidate, especially with no prior warning...
-
Thankyou i'll investigate further tomorrow :y
-
Are after market HBV;s any good?
-
Given the price of genuine, I personally wouldn't bother ;)
Terry Paget has recently bought one, sub £20 iirc :-\
-
Ahh right, i'll go genuine then thanks

that's a result then ..... a full box or plasters is normally required ;)
