Title: Strange noise
Post by: gbh on 09 January 2017, 19:38:45
Hi all,Just noticed a strange low buzzing sound when i turn off the ignition,it goes when i take the key out and is not there when i put it back in,only after running car is the whine or buzz there.Seems to be coming from the right hand side any ideas before i have a good look and listen? Also just a quicky does the sunroof dial have a light? My elite does but my cdx doesn't or at least its not working if there is one in their?

I have always put it down to the flaps creaking back to their 'at rest' positions as the vacuum leaks away in the heating controls.

Old cars make funny noises sometimes, it's called character.

It's the heater flaps chilling out.

Old cars sometimes make funny noises for the same reason old people do: something is worn out and complaining about it. If they have character, it's easier to put up with the noises

Feeling a bit stupid, haven't used the car for a long time and have simply forgotten its to remind you to remove your keys and after leaving the lights on it sharpened  up the noise or brought it back to life my brain that is.Thanks for your replies!!
