04 Monaro. 65k miles. Fast black. Very nice condition apparently. I think it has had engine upgrades but not certain yet.
Any idea of realistic value of such a beast ?
-
If the price is right are you going to make an offer?
-
Only if I could sell it on and make a few bob. ;)

Is that the one with the stage 2 upgrade :)

Check for corrosion underneath! Those Aussie cars are never well rustproofed. ::)

Not sure tbh, but can find out. Its not in England, I can tell you that much.

As a shot in the dark, £10,000ish?
-
The asking price is fair ;)

Would it be for sale in middle earth, and would the vendor be a known hobbit. ;)

Nope and nope ;D
It isn't the car I thought it might be... apparently Castleford is in Yorkshire, and last I heard Yorkshire is still very much in England ::)

Clean base model cars range from £6-8k, VXRs from £7.5-14k depending on mileage/condition/upgrades.
Paying £4k for a Copart special which runs will see a tidy profit in parts... Drivetrain would break even alone ;)
A cheap Monaro is a distant memory, and high mileage doesn't seem to matter as long as the car has been maintained properly. They will never be Omega money ;)

.
Looked at buying one before I got the Merc I only wanted to spend around 8K, couldn't find a decent one for that money at the time.

This one is said to be in excellent condition. Price is £6.5k plus I have to go to Norn Irn and bring it back here.
Doesn't really sound like a nice little earner. Probably a good price though if I wanted it as a keeper.
-
Looking at the prices here, I would be asking alot of questions... performance Vauxhalls hold their money over there :-\
-
Its a case of, that price to me, a higher price to anyone else. The owner is a relative of a lifelong friend.
Spke to my boss about it tonight, as he recently sold his low mileage 04 Monaro. He reckons ther could be a £3k profit in it on a good day,but I have my doubts tbh.

Monaro seems to hold it's value exceptionally well.
Far less depreciation prone than the CLS 500 I owned.
