Title: remap.superchip- worth it?
Post by: steve carter on 01 August 2008, 19:54:36
Hi folks, i`m looking for some help, and as there seems to be a lot of helpful people on here i`m sure ill get some good advice. I have a 2l 16v gls on 98 `r` and was thinking about getting it remapped or superchipped by either regal autosport in southampton or by superchips, and was wondering if anyone had had this done by one of these and what they thought of it. thanx

I do feel you'd be better off starting with a more powerful engine, not sure you will see sufficient gains from a 2.0l  :-/

I personally don't think you gonna notice any difference on a 2.0 ecotec lump, very heavy cars for that engine.

Not sure wot you thinking of paying for a remap, but Superchips sometimes come up on ebay for arround 50 notes, might be worth trying that first and see what you think.

TBH Mate, it would be a complete waste of time. And your insurance company would hammer you.
