Title: Fixing remote key battery
Post by: Jan Suhr on 09 March 2017, 18:21:19
We all know how easy it is to break the soldered contacts to the battery holder in the remote key and if you have it is a hassle to get the battery to connect properly. Folder paper is often used to press the battery down and hopefully match the contacts.

Today I needed to change the battery and I couldn't get it to match up. Since it was loose on one of the connections and the other was very flexible I thought that this could probably be fixed if I could solder some thin wires in and connect the battery to them.

It worked.

Here is how I did it.

Soldering in the cables

Then put the wires in place so they connect to the battery.

And here it is in place.

Remote now works as if it were new!!
