For the first time since 2004 i do not own a omega.
I would just like to say a very big thank you to all oof members that over the years have helped in supplying and fitting and repairing my cars to keep me on the road. I know that if not for the help my omega ownership would have been a lot shorter.
Due to moving down to somerset and being several hundred miles away from oof help I decided it was time for a change.
Once again Thank you
cheers Paul :y :y

We're only an internet away then... ;D
The key thing is not to replace it with anything that tries to replicate it as you'll only be disappointed. Assuming of course that you need to replace it ;)

There ought to be a bereavement counselling service. I suppose there is in the form of OOF! I still miss mine and that is after three maybe four years.( I still have a shed full of parts, including six elite wheels, to visit when I feel sad ;D) On the positive side think how much free time you will have not having to maintain so much your next car and not having to visit the petrol station every time you leave the house.
Hope whatever you buy next serves you well.

I wish you all the best with whatever is your new steed.

Paul - did you sell it or scrap it?? All the best.

Where in Somerset are you going, Paul....we spend a lot of time in Dorset, as you know, and I have friends in the Yeovilton area. Swmbo's family are scattered all over Somerset and Devon (in more ways than one) May see you sometime :y

A big part of me is regretting not buying that car. The logical part tells me I would have been daft to but it, but the logical part of the brain is what kils the fun. :)
5 years ago I would have bought it without a second thought, and then dismantled it for parts without a second thought. :D

Sorry to hear you are leaving Paul :'( :'(
But, I promise you, once you are bitten by the big Vauxhall engine bug you cannot escape. You are addicted. You will pay anything to keep the Vx / big engine / Omega fix going. That is my experience anyway over the last 30 years!!
Keep in touch, especially when you find your next Omega / Senator / VXR8! ;D ;D ;D ;D

You're all heart ;D

Had I bought it a few days ago, I would have swapped the wheels, front legs, brakes and possibly even the whole drivetrain over with the parts from my car, and then sold it on.
I don't really have the energy to do all that, and I would probably lose even more money on my car plus this one, than I would lose already if I were to sell mine.
Logic kicking in after all these years I suppose. :D
Plus, I don't have the space to break cars anymore, as a greenhouse now sits where I used to park them to dismantle them. ::)

Your Miss'es lets you mess with Green Houses now, she does know there made of of glass doesn't she. :o
By the way, does she still wrap bubble wrap around your head before letting you loose to play with stuff in the garden now? ;)

Mrs owns the greenhouse. ;) When I get to the point where I want to do gardening I will take the bubble wrap of my head and continuously head butt the nearest wall until Ive put myself out of my misery. ;D
