Ex Chancellor - George Osborne, appointed editor of the Evening Standard
What the hell is that about . . . .
Oh, and I've just been appointed in charge of the Large Hadron Collider

Both filed under "what could possibly go wrong"?
Maybe folding copies of the paper ready for circulation is close enough to folding towels in Liberty for his work experience to be considered relevant? ;)

It's as if he was a journalist before entering politics ::)
Have you ever been a physicist, Rog?

Ok, hands up. I did not know that he had pursued a career in journalism. According to the big Wiki in the sky . . .
"failed to gain a place on The Times trainee scheme"
"also applied to The Economist, where he was interviewed and rejected"
"In the end he had to settle for freelance work on the Peterborough diary column of The Daily Telegraph"
Many politicians have written for newspapers, not least a certain Boris. But editor ? And at least Boris has some personality and is amusing.
When Osborne first rose to some prominence, I thought he was a real idiot (well he, was), then as time went by he gained experience and almost became good, and then the Brexit vote and Cameron's resignation lost him the job that he would never have had without Dave. We'll see, but I still think it's kinda strange, maybe mates in high places combined with a need for another job in addition to being an MP. Is his wife "High maintenance" or something ?
Me ? A physicist ? Nope. Just a world renowned neurosurgeon ;D

Wasn't Boris editor of The Spectator a while ago? :-\

I hate most politicians with a vengeance. George and his mate David and that B'Liar are hated almost as much as I hate Thatcher.
I can not think about May, who seems intent on stamping those in need into the dirt and killing the NHS.
