Really chuffed. I have also found a winning body shop judging by the standard of this repair :y :y

It does, although I would have got rid of that number plate with EU flag on it while I was there. :)

Looks as good as it did when you posted the pictures when you first bought it :y :y

Did they repair or replace the bumper Lizzie?

Would say replaced it and bonnet :-\

Looks good, nice in satin red

Thanks all :y :y
Yes the bonnet and bumper are replacements (from a silver 52 plate CDX), and with the brand new headlights I bought from Vx. ;)

Was Rubens fond of this colour or is it totally unrelated?

As far as I am aware his use of this particular shade of red in many of his works was noted by other artists who gave it the name "Rubens Red". Red was always a popular colour in painting for hundreds of years, but Rubens gave his shade special importance. ;)

But is it the same shade of red as used on your car, Lizzie?
Artistic licence perhaps. :y :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Of course it's the very same shade - Rubens painted it for her himself! 8)
