Title: machinemart
Post by: raywilb on 19 March 2017, 20:27:55
I purchased one of those 16ltr oil drain pans on-line from machine mart using their click & collect service. managed to print the receipt off then my internet service went hay-wire. I went through the next day to collect only to be told that I wasn't on their system & would not be until mid week next week. 4-5 working days. they had them in stock though my receipt was no good . I have to wait until mine with their paper work comes onto their system. or buy it again . I was fuming , its a 60 mile round trip for me. ( I was going shopping in Leeds so journey not in vain.) its about time they got updated & be able to check stock in store then collect

I find Machine Mart a bloody nuisance to deal with, as anything bought in store has to be returned to store if it breaks.  Its about a 90 mile round trip.

Their mail order postage charges are a joke.

Shame, as their aftersales phone support provided by the 2 old duffers in Nottingham is very good.

Luckily Cardiff isn't too far away. and they are always really helpful including carrying stuff across the road to my car.

In the metropolis of Barnsley we have a machine mart, a screwfix, a toolstation and a halfords all with 10 minutes. It's your fault for being bumpkins. :P

Bumpkin: A socially awkward person from the countryside.  ;D

Yep, VT100 porn was somewhat disappointing. Just had to play "snake" for amusement back then. ::)

Were you allowed to play with your snake at work back then? Did the EU stop it? Another reason I'm glad we're leaving.  :y
