With technology changing at an ever faster pace these days, the dreamy and comfortable Omega is starting to look like a bit of a dinosaur. A mate at the pub has recently been selling some 'black boxes' that do everything, and can be fitted to old bangers to make them more suitable for today's motoring.
For the pricely sum of only £275, it has dash cams all over the shop, and a whole host of devices to fit to the car which gives you nothing to think about when you're driving – park assist, collision avoidance technology, and even automatic turning on the headlights!.... worth a punt I thought at that price. :P
When the box turned up, it seemed as if it had been stored somewhere damp, as all the colours had run on the wiring diagram – difficult to tell a pink from a purple from a red. :-[
The car now sounds its horn every 20 minutes throughout the night and there's a smell of electrical burning all the time. I've fitted 3 batteries this week alone, so may have got a wire in the wrong place.
Can anyone on here help please, or am I going to have to take it to Wilbury's?
On a positive note, there's not much else wrong with the Omega, although my Mum did nag me about the oil patch I left on her driveway the other day when I visited! :y

The best way to turn an omega into something useful is to cube it ;D
