Is it a male or female plug?
What direction does the wire run off in?
Did you disconnect a plug like this when doing the seals?
Does it have rounded or square edges?

Chances are that a new crank sensor has been fitted and the old one left in place (the originals are clipped to the oil cooler pipes and can be tricky to fully remove) you may have connected the wrong one up (e.g. the old one) and hence the issue
