Well I will come clean it was me :)
And I am super chuffed with it too
I went down on the train this morning and James kindly collected me from the station , I must say at this point without embarrassing him he is probably one of the most honest decent straightforward blokes you are likely to meet.
So deal done , and after a 166mile drive home the car did not miss a beat and is a real pleasure to drive ,it feels tight, is responsive and well planted and if I don't gain some extra points in the very near future I will be very lucky.
For me this is my first V6 omega after having various diesels and 2.2s and with it being Elite spec and all working and well sorted its a keeper definitely!!
I don't think I need to put piccies on as there are enough of her already I will just say she looks better in the flesh than online and was and is exactly as described or better.
James I know you were in two minds about letting it go but I'm glad you did cheers.

Nice one. :y.......there are plenty about that people pick up for pocket change, but then they either quickly fall apart, or the new owner has to spend a small fortune getting them up to scratch. Buying a known good one as you have is the wise choice. ;)

And the car returns to its home area!

You made it back to Wrexham with all that sand in the sump?! ;D

I'll hang on another day or so just to make sure ;)
Have only managed 246 miles so far so hardly got warm enough for the egg to sat and see if it cures the leak.
Then its going straight back!!

I'm getting a clearer picture here of whats gone on!!
All you southerners have cobbled together an old scrapper ,worked out some old bodges and sold it to some unsuspecting yokel from up north.
Glad i didnt go for it!!

You are aware that James is credited with the trick of putting an old nylon shirt in the gearbox to quieten it down? ;) ;D :y

And it gets worse!!!
That will explain the sluggish box, bloody nylon shirt that will take some getting out.

I offered full price for the car but James warned me off. Said he wanted someone who lived very far away to buy it. Cheers, lad. :y

Yup James did mention a derisory offer of payment from someone with a scouse accent that he was very wary of and gave him a wide berth ;D

That would be Jon (omegod), bit of a dodgy character who wants to break everything for parts. He's actually in Liverpool, not that far from you, so pretty handy when your car starts falling to bits next week. ;D
