Title: Doctor Gollum - Advice
Post by: Lizzie Zoom on 01 May 2017, 14:07:12
To DG, why do you want to be so nasty and objectionable?  I am trying to be nice and polite but you push that back in my face. On the current help I have been seeking post about colouring my rear parcel shelf under Car Chat you have again attacked me. Why??

I DO note what people are advising; that is WHY I post threads like this [the colour thread], to get advice, which I have, including from you which, you may find this strange, I value!

You were right, I needed to get the two colours together, and not in photographs.  This has again, even with my colour blindness and the reason why I posted this thread, can see light grey is still not right.  At further expense I will now respray again!  So you see, without your nasty stance, you can prove useful!  Indeed I did first try the other week to recover the shelf in fake leather, but it didn't work. Once more, I was pleased with the advice.

Continually though you are having digs, making cynical comments, and generally being as evil as your pretend character.  For Christ sake grow up, come out from that act you are putting on and be your true self.  I have dealt with dozens of difficult, nasty and often criminal types, so you cannot fool me with your "performance".  However, I am worried about the affect on other members who would like to post, but live in fear of being belittled if they do by characters like you.  As I have stated before, it is no wonder that the members on line at any one time are now at the lowest I have ever seen them.

So come on DG, smile, have a laugh, and stop the unnecessary attitude. I, and no one else for sure, need your nasty stance, especially women who MAY still want to be on here.

Answered in your other thread, but as you insist...

Quote
Not being objectionable or sexist or anythingist...

I have a curt manner which clearly grates... I simply try to cut through all the bullshit in order to get to the crux of items that I choose to participate in. I endeavour to treat everybody the same here... If I think you're being a idiot I will say so. Nowt personal,  just that I can't be doing pandering to the 'woe is me approach' that many have.

If you don't like my input then ignore it rather than picking holes in my points or attacking my personality trying to get a rise. You know I will eventually bite and one day someone will find out just how sharp my teeth are.

If I genuinely wanted to actually be nasty then I would, but by and large I choose not to be.

And whilst I admit to having a slightly sarcastic outlook on life I am actually one of the most loyal and devoted people that I know. Only a few people genuinely appreciate that and very few of them are here.

So there we have it. Take it or leave it. As our German friends would say, "Es machts mir egal."

That is what you are doing if you re-read your posts!

But, anyway Doctor Gollum, thanks for replying and I repeat I do NOT think you are the person you often seem to portray, it is NOT that evil little monster in your avatar, it is just an act.  Yes, I do feel you have been nasty all too may times, the posts in the thread in question in particular.  To bluntly state I am wasting internet, your, and everyone else's time by posting a genuine request for help, I find very distasteful. but that is part of your performance.

So let us try to get on, and as I give everyone "another chance" (the Christian in me) I will just live with your style, for now. :)

Had you read and understood that particular post as a whole rather than skim reading it, you might have reacted differently.

You know what, you're not worth the argument.

Bite me. >:(

Havent met the good doctor, but have had dealings with him on various matters "behind the scenes", via PM.
I have to say, he is an extraordinarily helpful bloke, even when dealing with a retard like me.
Hope I haven't ruined his image with this post.  :D

I think Dr G is getting a little frustrated.  :-\

And it must be because despite all the effort he's putting in, he still hasn't had any Polish sausage!  :o  :P  ;D

Maybe Uncle STEMO can advise him?  ::)  :-\

Probably going to the wrong place to get one......

Polish Guy walks into a Shop and says :-
"Hi, Do you sell proper Kielbasa ?" (Polish Sausage)
Shop Keeper - "Are you Polish?"
Polish Guy - " Well, as it happens I am Polish but whats that got to do with anything?, If I come in and ask you for some Edam Cheese, would you ask me if I was Dutch?"
Shop Keeper - "No"
Polish Guy - "So if I come in and ask you for some Pama Ham would you ask me if I was Italian?"
Shop Keeper - "Nope"
Polish Guy - "So if I come in and ask you for some sauerkraut would you ask me if I was German?"
Shop Keeper - "Probably not"
Polish Guy - "So why you asking me if Im Polish then?"
Shop Keeper - "Because this is a Hardware Store"

Any frustration comes from supposedly intelligent people skim reading and then copping the arse when they're called out on it.

Any frustration comes from supposedly intelligent people skim reading and then copping the arse when they're called out on it.

Or intelligent people coming across poor, and rude communication which is all so busy trying to be objectionable that it does not help the person requesting politely some help.

I thought GD we had put this to bed, but if you want to carry on with the charade.....................................!!! ::) ::) ::) ::)

You just do not get it do you?  Obviously from what a few have said you are not like this in real life, so why take the attitude on here, playing a performance to insult. You admit to:

" just that I can't be doing pandering to the 'woe is me approach' that many have."  and
"And whilst I admit to having a slightly sarcastic outlook on life I am actually one of the most loyal and devoted people that I know. Only a few people genuinely appreciate that and very few of them are here.

So there we have it. Take it or leave it."

It is a good job that most of us on here can communicate politely and diplomatically, and with always an understanding note. There are different abilities displayed on this Forum, and if you are going to communicate on here allow for this.  Leave it out with the curt, sarcastic, casuistic, belittling, and plain rude comments.  This Forum has always "encouraged"people with great advice and much patience displayed over the years I have known it; you do the opposite!

WHY???!!  It is not good for you, me, and all members on here, along with those who may think of joining but see your comments and decide differently.  You have obviously not been a senior business manager responsible for thousands of staff who has to have great inter-personnel skills as I have to keep the interests of the business achievable; getting the most out of the people who will generate the profits you need to meet multi-million pound targets. With your approach you would fail dramatically.

AS I said, grow up and stop the act!

This is getting very tedious now.

What else STEMO will work?

If someone is very rude they need to be told.  This is a public forum. :)

We don't need to know about your 'business management skills', we've heard it all before, several (hundred) times.

So how else am I to get the message across about how rude he is and how I am qualified to understand that?  I am not a push over type women, and he needs to know that!!

FFS I have only re- joined this Forum, which has dramatically shrunk in size, so I can keep my Omega going.  I welcome advise, but I am NOT going to take insults and a stupid attitude from any individual.  I quote my life experiences so you understand why I do not tolerate such rubbish!  But, this time the bullies on here will not make me decide to leave.  My Omega (the reason for this site; Vauxhall Omega's) is why I stay here!

I explained the other week about how I found GD's "performance", but he takes no notice. The insults and rudeness keeps coming, and no-one is stopping it.

THat is the last word I am going to say on the matter in the interests of the Forum, and me. I can do without it!!

You ever been tested ? Are you on the autism spectrum - they don't call it aspergers, but it might be that you are actually underdeveloped socially, and might like to get some professional help to perhaps improve.

*Ironic that I jumped to this conclusion. I did an (unscientific) online test after 2 of my relatives (nephew and niece) were diagnosed, and found myself to be borderline aspie, but probably not. I haven't told my family, as I prefer if they assume I'm just a bit strange.

well when your child asks what the means we will see if it counts or not...

Lizzie,

You are not helping yourself here -IMHO of course. References to "senior manager", "thousands of staff", "millions of pounds budgets" really don't wash - in fact have the opposite effect. I see Mr Precious as a windup merchant yes, but you set yourself up for more by "lectures" on things ...

The further you stray from car "facts" the greater the risk of being bitten.

As I said, IMHO & hope it's received in the spirit intended.

Right, had enough, thread locked.

Doctor Gollum can have a few days holiday, lets just say he's been on the radar for some time and we have run out of patients (for good reason!)
