Title: My poor, old body.
Post by: STEMO on 02 May 2017, 14:25:14
While I was out with doggie this morning I heard a thumping from behind that sounded like a horse coming up. Turned around and there was Chester, a massive, and I mean massive, boxer dog. He must be about 7 stone of solid muscle. After the niceties, feeding, petting etc., he gave me 'that' look and went and found a stick (small tree). He loves it when I won't let go and tries to pull my arms out of their sockets. After five minutes or so of this, I threw the stick and off he went with his owner.
This afternoon.......my stomach muscles are killing me, my arms are aching and I think I've got a groin strain. ;D
I'll have to try and dodge him in future, I'm just not the lad I used to be.  :(

I take great solace from the fact that Jim Fixx who sort of invented jogging, died at the age of 52 . . . . while he was jogging  ::)

Actually, no deaths at the London Marathon this year ?

True, Opti..but, as Groucho Marx once said, making love to your wife is like shooting at sitting ducks.

I have been in Brackley for the last10 days, decorating my daughters hall stairs and landing.
I did this for a living a few years ago....now I am totally knackered. Everything aches, even bits I did not know I had :( :(
