Title: rear springs
Post by: Omega Nige on 19 June 2017, 21:47:51
I have a leaking a rear shock but have air suspension. I have the usual soft Elite ride, can I fit standard springs with air shocks? Do I need to change both shocks or just the one that's leaked? Thanks  :)

you need springs and shocks as pairs plus remove relay for air pump--- :y

I did that earlier this year and it's a huge improvement, although my car had new self-leveling shocks a couple of years ago. It rides and handles better, and the compressor is rarely needed to lift the back of the car as the springs actually hold it up.

Replacing just one shock is a bad idea.

I also fitted standard spec rear springs on my Elite. Definitely an improvement over the too soft Elite springs.  :y

Standard springs with air shocks here too, no problem.

bet its the passenger side leaking ;)
springs will snap next, best fit standard shocks and springs and pull out the relay for the self levelling pump.
