Reading the valuation of the silver MV6 i was interested to see the claimed 73 left and went on a site to see how many CD 2.5 V6 autos were left.
Apparently there are 17 2.0 CD autos, 12 CD 2.5 V6 autos, 9 2.5 TDs, 1,546 CDs not specified, 32 TD autos and 469 CD V6 autos I can only assume are 2.6.
I wasn't aware TD autos were an option ?

Wouldn't bother with that site, it's a work of fiction.

Yup. :y

My understanding is it's all based on what the dealers write on the V5s when they register the cars. Which may be more formalised nowadays (although I doubt it) but previously (Saab being a good example of this) dealers would write any old shite. Hence why you can't get an accurate figure from it.
Shame really, as in principle it's an interesting idea.

yeah its got to be fiction. only 12 cd 2.5 autos left ? .i know of 3 in halifax and two in bradford and one in hudds so only 6 in the rest of the country ! ,!... like you say would be a fantastic site to look at if info was acuurate .

It's a good one to show to a potential buyer. 'Very rare car, sir'.

I believe TD autos were the straight 6 2.5 BMW engine cars[with manual as an alternative?] but all 4 pot diesels were manual only?

When the Omega was released the Elite & CDX TD's were standard auto, lesser models were standard manual

PFL, all CD and higher were auto, with manual being NCO. GLS were manual with auto being an option.
