I think they on the wrong frequency now. phone networks have been upgraded so much over the years. 2g 3g 4g and think next year 5g comes out. the phone frequency are more advanced now. i did try an old flip phone i had in the draw that would not even connect to the network, and that was O2 sim and even with a new sim still would not connect. but there are other types you can use in vehicles think you just need a kit.

If your talking about the Nokia Telematics Module, then yes they still work for calls and Text on any Network that is GSM (900mhz) ie Vodafone O2 and variants off, but not PCN Networks (1800Mhz) ie, EE, Virgin Three.  ;)

As said, any O2/Voda based network will work with standard Omega factory phone units, such as telematics or CCRT range.

MVNOs for these 2 networks are fine as well, with GiffGaff (run over O2) or Asda Mobile (run over Voda last time I checked) being the cheaper optins than O2/Voda themselves.

Use the O2 or Vodafone coverage checker to work out which base network is best :y

I used Giffgaff in my Telematics in my beloved silver bullet, as Vodafone in these parts is shockingly bad.

If you go Giffgaff, sign up with TD's link above (I won't post mine now), and you will get a small bonus after you have topped up your first tenner.

It doesn't, but you can divert your Number to the Telematics Number when your in the Car, your need the full size sim holder as well.
