Hello, I know it is not an Omega but wondered if anyone knew the answer to this very bizarre problem?
ALL the indicators are ON when the key is out of the ignition and the car locked!!
When I turn the ignition on they ALL go out!
Weird or what?
It is a neighbour of mine and she desperately needs her car for work, as she works in an old peoples home who are mentally ill...
Thank you

A P-Reg Cav - must be one of the very last of the line! It isn't purple (well, Royal Blue) perchance is it?
As for the problem - I had the exact same issue with a Volvo I used to have, and traced it to the alarm being faulty. Disconnected the battery overnight, reconnected it and it was fine - until I armed the alarm and the same thing happened again. Ended up removing the alarm in the end.
Hope that helps.
PS - they never made a 1.8 16v Cav ;)

Moving to Chat area, as not an Omega.
Faulty ignition switch?
-
either faulty ignition switch or most likely faulty hazard switch
-
What spec, if Cdx with the alarm then its likely to be an alarm fault.
Ow yes, must be a Vectra as the Cavalier finished on an N (I used to own one of the last which was first registered August 1st on an N!) and they never came with the 1.8 16V ecotec as standard only the C18NZ 8 valve.

Considering Veccies started on an N plate a P reg Cav would've had to languishing in the back of a showroom for some for some time.
Such things do happen ie an A reg Mk5 'Tina....really. :y

I have only ever seen one P reg mk3 cav and that was about 4 years ago on the A303 and it was a dark colour and LS spec.

I disconnected the battery for 30 mins and reconnected it..sorted!!
It is a Vectra :P
She told me that some lads had been throwing cans at it and she had to keep resetting the alarm...I guess it just got confused :D
Thanks for all the help guys.
