Title: MAF temp rading vs ambient air temperature
Post by: Andy A on 22 August 2017, 12:03:08
My MAF is reading 24c on a run down the motorway but the ambient air temperature is only 13.5c yesterday. Is this normal operation for a MAF sensor on a 2.2 petrol 2003?

Thanks

Not far out (there will be some slight heating of the air as it passes through the air box)and the intake air temp has little effect on the fuelling anyway  :y

Thanks Fuse 19 for the info.  :y

Should both temps be the same before the car and just as the engine is started if the car has been stood all night and its early morning before the sun comes up? Mine is still showing roughly a 10c difference.
