With London it would not be a case of mile range, but more like how many hours it lasts? Can't imagine they would cover a big distances, wonder if they would last a whole day of stop/start but only cover say 50 miles.

This isn't new thinking about it.  ;)

The US Postal Service use electric milk float type vans which are RHD so the Postie can reach the mailbox from the kerb without having to get out of the van.  :)

The next question is:  Are American Posties fat?  :D  ;D
