Title: Spotted many Omegas in Teesside today.
Post by: GastronomicKleptomaniac on 13 October 2017, 18:54:12
I don't see any for ages, then I've seen at least four today, not inlcuding the contents of the GK yard... silver MV6 on Acklam Rd, a blue-grey saloon on Stainton Way, a silver-grey V6 on Cass House Rd, and another silver saloon in Stockton.

As usual I was at work and so relatively anonymous, but if anyone on here is a local... IT COULD BE YOU!

The times that a "spotted" is actually anyone on here is, sadly, very remote. To most owners it,s just something that gets them from A to B, hopefully ;D. They don,t feel the love like wot we do. :y

Hi ronnyd

you are absolutely right. Here in my surround I know only a handful Omegas. Mainly hard workers on their last trip.

Very sad.

I know no one personally, doing things like I do. Nationwide there is is a familiar community, but here deep down southwest I am on my own.

But it works. Caravan goes Tuev next Monday!

Yes you don't see many around now , sold mine 2 years ago to a member on here & now  no record of it on the MOT website so if anyone knows what happened to AK51ONV I would like to know 2.6 V6 a very nice car & utterly reliable in the 5 years I owned it.

We had the same problem a few years back looking for a carlton for a friend. 5 or so years previous we were looking a two or three every day for a month to weed out a good one without any chassis leg issues.then they all seemed to dissapear almost overnight!.the same will be true soon for omegas. The remaining ones will hopefully be the good ones.owned by the people who want an omega rather than a cheap car.same happens for any mainstream production car realy  .i used to buy vivas and cavs for £50 that were not too bad .now people are dragging rusty relics out of fields and putting them on ebay for £1000.

Quite a few around here in High Wycombe. However, those owners I approach to chat to, always seem not to know of us !!!  :(

Just re-enforces my earlier post, sadly. :(
