Title: removing ATF cooler
Post by: powerslinky on 28 October 2017, 18:10:31
Changed coolant rad today  . . all seems good  . . .apart from their is a small ATF fluid leak from the short length of rubber pipe where the pipes actually go into the ATF rad. This is on the near side . These 2 short rubber sections (1 each side of the rad ) are clipped to the pipe work with stainless clips . ATF is oozing out of the top joint of the n/s one .

Can I remove the ATF rad out to look at /resolve this leak with having to remove the coolant rad again ? :-\ :-\

TIA   Al ;)

Yes. With one caveat...

If you can successfully remove the mounting screws :y

Top 2 bolts easy   . . .bottom 2  .  .probably impossible ::)

Only a small leak  . . .the pipe had in fact pulled out partly from the rubber . Have now pushed it back in (went in another 15mm) and used a smearing of cam cover black sealant around the rubber /pipe join .  Seems fine now .
20 mile road test coming up for both rads  ;)
