Title: Fuel rail fittings
Post by: Superleggo on 21 November 2017, 22:02:26
I am building a kit car using 3.0 Omega engine but do not have the fuel pipes that connect to the engine

Does anyone know what are the fittings vauxhall used on the fuel rail that connect to the fuel feed and return pipes so that I can get some flexible pipes made up to connect into my solid 8mm fuel pipes.

Most fuel fittings I've used have been M12x1.5 which are readily available as banjos, hose tails, joiners etc.

The FI conversions I've done have used 6mm bore nylon tubing heat shrunk into various fittings, and 8mm hose with Jubilee clips.

It looks closer to M14 with a micrometer

Good luck with the project and keep us updated. :y

As to the fittings, I'm not sure but I think I'd be inclined to take the fuel rail off and take it down to an agricultural / hydraulic hose supplier and see if they can match it. Failing that, post a wanted ad here. Someone breaking an Omega would give you the hoses for a few beer tokens, I'm sure.

Yes, that's also worth bearing in mind. ;)
