Title: More oddities?
Post by: BazaJT on 15 January 2018, 20:11:19
Or related problems?Yesterday I had the Omega out for a brief run round, the speedo and rev counter decided they'd put in a bit of work-they've taken to not bothering at times[I'm awaiting news of a replacement cluster]-when I got back outside the lock up the temp gauge registered just under 90 and the fans[all 3]kicked in,by the time they shut down the temp gauge was virtually at the bottom[cold end]of the gauge but did start to climb again. Also the radio-a ccr 2006-which I knew was refusing to recognize that there's a magazine in the multi changer-would switch off and the date would appear on the screen, this would then disappear off and the word code would appear, this would then go and the radio would resume playing[station info appearing on the screen]a few seconds later the sequence would repeat, all this without my touching any of the radio controls or steering wheel buttons ???Related problems or separate issues?

Used it for work today.Started and drove with all clocks/radio working, stopped at a shop started it no clocks or radio working.Came home later all working again, stopped at supermarket to do shopping and all not working again.Another thing I noticed[it may have been doing this before without my noticing it]was that when I turned ignition off the rev counter needle was still flickering/vibrating against its stop.
