Title: Getting blocked in!
Post by: Martin_1962 on 11 August 2008, 16:55:21
Well it is getting worrying, couple of years ago a neighbour moved a fence to include the ground right next to my parking area, all legal but I lost 2 foot of swinging around/opening door room.

House was sold on and new owner is now digging up a piece of grass right next to the road in and where it is narrowest, since I can't swing the van around now I go over the edge of this land just on the concrete edging.

However the new owner is pickaxing up the ground to stop people going anywhere near it.

I don't park or drive over but he was pointing at our caravan laughing to another neighbour.

I have decided that if the new plants go over my parking space I'll weed killer them!!!!

Am I the only person who has always had fantastic neighbours?

I know many OOFers have met my current neighbours, and agree how great they are :D

Your lucky - the guy next to me is a t1t of the highest calibre.

He doesnt speak to us, even when we speak to him. Nothing wrong with a polite hello....

Remembering of course where i live our differing football colours seem to aggrivate him. Opposites are meant to attract though  ;D

No problem on my side but he doesnt seem to approve...Sad but true.

We are surrounded by polish and russians, nothing really wrong with that, you have good and bad from all nations, but those that live near me are those that were taken from their homes in the dark of the night, and thrown over the border to fend for themselves.
They live on Vodka and fags, all have bad hearing, must have by the way they all shout at each other, tend to change their taste in furniture quite regular, as it keeps getting thrown out of the window, mostly at night, and tend to live in a 1 bedroom flat, with 52 other relatives that have also been removed from their country.
who can top that??

total ignorant knob on side whose wife is a snob.......and she is in no position to be so
They are also the object of our humour, the guy is trying to sell a '96 mazda Bongo for close to 6K!!! and has just paid over 2k for a weekend pikey wagon that leaks all over the place.
He spent a fortune last year having his front garden tarmac'd over the last year it has sunk in places and the pikey wagon is leaving huge great dips in the tarmac where the legs are......we are messing ourselfs laughing......

the other side is fine, a quiet couple his wife is fit......really fit  :P

Maybe Martin Imber's neighbours are trying to say "we're fed up of looking at that unsightly pikey wagon"

My neighbour now lives under my patio.  He's been very quiet of late, I wonder if something is getting him down...?

My neighbours are all fine. We don't socialise a great deal but always say hello, etc. which is about perfect in my book.

I was cutting the hedge the other day and the guy the other side offered to take the cuttings away and burn them, and to get his mate to put some scaffolding up to tackle the high bits. :y

He runs a classic car business too. I wonder if he has a press for wishbone bushes?..... ;)
