hi all, ive been noticing that the windows on the mig are steaming up. as some will know its not been used for a good few days. but looking out the window can see its condensated up. were as other vehicles are all clear winds. is it the air vents again or something else. ???

i wouldnt worry too much providing you dont have any coolant loss or wet carpets. all mine mist up a lot when not in use and can be parked up for 3 weeks at a time untouched. they then get damp which takes a bit to dry out.obviously do the usual checks for scuttle or other leaks as well if you wish.

:y will see when i get out :y

Does the aircon work?
-
it don't have air con. just sunroof and that's sealed till get the glass or the rubber seal changed. mrs just been in to have a look see if floor wet and its dry on all areas, just a difference of it being 6c outside and 4c inside.

OK, whack the heater temp up, set to screen with the centre vents closed and crack the rear windows when driving. ;)

Or tilt the sunroof, which also sucks the moisture out well :y

IME, no. The moisture tends to settle on surfaces when cold (with glass being probably coldest, hence easiest noticed), including seats and carpets.
It need airflow to get it out, ideally heated airflow - hence heaters on full, and sunroof or rear windows open slightly. If its phishing down too much, drop the back seat rests, and the first aid cubby hole cover in boot, to give the vents in the boot the maximum airflow through (and empty boot of shite ;D)

A dehumidifier is a good investment to keep car dry. Run it with all windows and vents shut. Have seen me empty about a pint or more of water in around 2 hours from it. You need to be able to shut door over mains cable so make sure cable is about middle of door shut and the cable will take up the shape of the door shut. Feels a bit tight at first but that is it being shoved into gap of door and sill.

Ive fitted a 12v computer style fan into one of my cars to keep an airflow when parked up and that car never condenses up. Even if you park it up with condensation in it clears itself. Ill be doing the same to others .also done it to my garage and that helped too !
