Putin has an election on the 18th of March which he will win, so this propaganda is for his domestic audience. He will win the election, the question is how much vote stuffing and FSB vote manipulation has to done to give him a 'respectable' victory. This matters as he will know the real numbers where that is his popularity rating and what he is electioneering to maximize.

They don't need to put nuclear tips on them.All they've got to do is load them with snow and we're well and truly stuffed :D :D ;D

Maybe if we were stuck in permanent nuclear winter, the government would put up the money to buy a decent fleet of snow ploughs.. ;D

I don't know why Putin even bothers.
Anybody of any serious threat in the election is either locked up or awaiting a nice dose of polonium in there next cup of tea  ;)

Not like he can afford to pay for all this crap even IF it worked anyway   ::)  ;D

Putin only goes to that sort of expense and bother for defectors, otherwise his main rivals accidentally shoot themselves dead as they are walking home with their girlfriend from a restaurant, while a passing street cleaning lorry coincidentally  backfires several times in unison as he shoots himself. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::).

Shooting yourself might also catch on in the US if Paul Manafort is turned by FBI special investigator Robert Mueller III, the alternative is not much more appealing of dying in prison doing a long stretch, if convicted, for money laundering millions and several other serious offences. His only hope is a Trump pardon for the federal offences, but that can't help or stop state ones. :o :o :o
