I seem to be getting dazzled by the newer built cars just lately ???
This video captured from my rear dashcam is a 17 reg Volvo.
https://youtu.be/tpVyFSnWeNY (https://youtu.be/tpVyFSnWeNY)
It`s late morning & even in the daytime it dazzled my eyes when I looked at it in the mirror.
Do other members notice this or is it time to get my minces tested :-\

Retro fit an auto dimming mirror and worry about something else...

Definitely , some lights on new cars even seem poorly directed as well.

Well done that guy, hlights far too bright on a lot of cars, you can actually feel a laser focused pain to the back of eye with dazzle from these lights.

Try driving a vehicle that's a couple of inches lower than the "norm". >:(
Levelling systems on modern SUVs seem to work on the assumption that every other road user subscribes to the fad that is completing the school run in something one rung up the automotive evolutionary ladder from the tractor. ::)

Yes, this was on the news a week or so back. I think the news item was specific to LED, but the way mainstream media dumb it down so chicks can understand (:P), it was unclear.
Also, round these parts, it seems to be the law that you have at least one headlight poorly adjusted so its very high. Particularly if you have HIDs.
-
LEDs seem particularly problematic. Presumably, because they have an even sharper beam cut-off than HIDs, manufacturers set them as high as absolutely possible, which means they go from "Perfectly fine" to "My retinas!" with all of ten thou suspension travel..

Look directly into any undiffused superbright LED and you will know that feeling.

I have suffered for years with light problems as I have particularly sensitive eyes.
My optician has prescribed me clear glasses with anti glare coating for night driving
It helps an awful lot and makes driving bearable now
But, I started with problems from the introduction of projector headlamps
These do direct the halogen light to a more intense beam
As for xenon, unless you view from directly in front, they dazzle
LED,s even worse
Just my experiences

The silly Ford-esque heated screen in the big black Pussy makes everything glare on dark, wet nights.
Its great at clearing frost from the windscreen, but all things considered, I'd rather a normal windscreen.
-
I bought myself a pair of yellow-tinted polarised glasses for night driving, but they give me a headache and I look like Bono in them. ;D

Bono at a concert, clapping his hands, "Every time I clap my hands, a baby dies in Africa!"
Heckler " Well stop clapping you stupid bastard!"

I've just discovered I can get one for the Metro. And I will, once it's painted. £200 well spent.
All cars should have them.

Not if you can't see at night, and have to drive like an old person and have to come to near standstill every time a car comes the other way. Its like driving with a dirty screen at night :'(

The self-important Mr Bonio ::) gets on my tits.
He makes it sound as though he is the only person 'saving the world'

A good band up to Rattle & hum. Bono should have knocked it on the head after that, but became a sanctimonious t wat who had run out of ideas and carried on to feed the ego, which is the size of Neptune. :)

Given the state of the place, he's probably right! Although maybe Geldof can claim some credit as well. ::) ;D

That was part of him saving the world. Well, the UK anyway.

Bonio suffers with a messianic complex...... but is so deluded he believes himself to be humble and unassuming.

The Joshua Tree was the last time I heard a word that Bono said. If you don't pay any attention to them, they don't tend to annoy you.....at all.

Ricky Evans Motorsport? (They supply the blanks for the Cobra screens, I assume probably for everyone else who isn't FoMoCo, too) They're not quite the same as the Ford ones - the lines are straight verticals, not the wibbly Ford-esque lines.
I had no problem driving at night in the Ford with its heated screen, so I agree with you entirely.
Also means that, technically, I don't have to fit a heater to pass the IVA..
-
I think the Fiesta in front today on the M27 might be needing a new screen ::)
