Title: It never rains
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 06 April 2018, 09:20:17
I’ve lost BOTH sets of car keys to my Elite.
And my house keys.

I delivered my estate to a nice OOFer last night ( :y )

On my way out I meant to pick up

A) my set of keys (with my door key and elite key on)
B) Both estate keys

Instead I picked up, my bunch, one estate key, and MY spare key

Having dropped off the estate and stayed in a hotel due to missing my last train, I now can not locate my own keys (either set) anywhere.

Big arse :(

Bu66er ......  :( That could prove to be expensive, though keys do have a habit of turning up just after you've replaced them :y

They are probably in the arm rest of the estate.

That is where you put your warrant card when you delivered the project MV6 to me.......

Being serious for a second, and don't mean to sound blunt, but...

Given how frequently you do this/similar, Mr V6CDX, is it worth asking quack about your absent mindedness during your next checkup? Although, from even my own personal experience with you, this predates you little bump a couple of years back.

Good shout.  :y

If neil74 was anything other than the decent honest chap he is, he could have nipped down and had it away with the black elite......  :o

and Mrs V6CDX!  :D  ;D

I'm not sure that you are right, TB. James nefver forgets a single thing when doing a cambelt, and in my eyes that is very complex.
Even 29 year olds forget things, you know!  :(

No offence taken, and it's something that's been in hand for a long time.

I don't want to go into huge detail, but to answer the question, a consultant I saw last year in London has documented brain / neurological injuries, along with central nervous system damage, and a referral to a neurosurgeon,  some distance away has already been made.

Not unreasonable given a head-on closing speed in excess of 130mph.

In particular, I am having problems with short term memory, personality, fatigue, and concentration (especially around learning new things).

It's one of those things whereas, as isolated incidents things seem like nothing, but there is a trend in that, they happen much more frequently - and it has been picked up by those close to me, moreso than myself.

The way the consultant described it to me, is that, although I don't recall specific parts of the impact, even in the unlikely event I didn't bash my head, the deceleration forces still causes the brain to impact the inside of the skull at those speeds.

Thanks for the kind suggestion, but it's already been picked up and is being investigated :y

ISTR after we did your first LPG conversion about the only thing you remembered to take home was the car itself, and that was years ago so nothing's changed there..  ;)

Seriously - must have been 10 years now?  :o Silver 2.5 CDX IIRC?

Anyway, I wish you all the best for your continued recovery. :y

Oh I'm not suggesting that I have been forgetful on many occasions... :y

But things are very different, in many ways than just forgetfulness, since the bash  :'(
