Another example of a ridiculously inadequate sentence given to someone who should be locked away for life (or hung very painfully!):
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warwickshire-43926623
9 years ( serving 4.5 no doubt) for what should be murder given the circumstances of the many crimes committed by this (fit for TB's cull) bastard!!!!!!
I can't say anymore, and can only just imagine what the parents of the two little boys are going through :'( :'( :'(

The judges who let him off lightly, time and time again, shouldn't be able to sleep at night. >:(

You need to understand that the accused was in fact the victim. As a result of mental incapacitation he lost confidence, and in a mentally tumultuous plea for help turned to drugs for emotional support. His state of mind led him to be negligent in arranging car insurance and road tax, but this was in turn due to negligence on behalf of the authorities in failing to recognise his mental state and providing the required medical treatment and financial support.
In his defence it was implied that it was wrong for the children to consider that crossing the road to go to the park would be without risk, and that they should have anticipated that a person in his condition could be approaching them and taken appropriate precautions.
Pass me the bullets . . . . . . ::)

Good God Rog, that almost makes sense. ;)

"Brown and Harrison were both found to be four times over the limit for cocaine when the Ford Focus driven by Brown "ploughed" into the boys as they crossed Longfellow Road with their family."
There's a limit to how much cocaine you can shove up your nose before driving? :o Who knew? ???
Cocaine is an illegal drug FFS! ::) >:(

I guess if you are dubious substance inclined, why wouldn't you, as they are as readily available as nicotine and alcohol but tax free! The brutal reality is that stopping smuggling is a failure, where there is so much money to be made and virtually every customs and police officer (there are some untouchables) has a price. >:( >:( >:( So might just a well IMO legalize it & restrict it, tax it and spend the taxes on drug rehab.
