what is the best stuff for re fixing badges back on can find lots of double sided tape but all to wide any one used anything else thanks
-
I used a smear of clear silicone on the badges of a Sierra a couple of years ago. Still holding on great and looks like factory fit(no visual residue). Dont know how it would be to remove them again but will imagine it can be done without damaging paintwork

Stick the badge to a piece of tape that's at least as wide as the badge. Then using a single edge razor blade, cut out all the tape that's not needed. Then stick the badge to the car. Badges really need thin tape, or they'll look crap.

Thanks for the reply will give it a go and see what happens ;D

When I had a tailgate sprayed after a repair under the wiper, I felt the thinnest badge tape I could get was even too thick as the letters need to be firm on the panel - thick tape makes the letters 'wobbly ' if that makes sense.
The old tape ideally needs removing first.
However I decided that it wasn't worth the effort - I bought new Vauxhall and Omega 3.2 V6 badges. The benefit of new ones is that they have a card template which is the correct size to allow the edges to be lined up with the edges of the panel for correct positioning. Badges in the wrong position or slanted bug me!
Unfortunately, both the 'Omega 3.2 V6' and 'Omega 2.6 V6' are now no longer available from Vauxhall.

A little dab of Tiger seal or similar. They will never come off. :y

Just re attached the missing "L",kindly donated by Terbs, that the car wash boys managed to pull off several weeks ago from the boot..Vauxhal
Found the simplest was a small blob of Gorilla Super Glue which is non drip or runny.Once it touches you have a little time to adjust then it sets solid :y
