Interesting. I think there were a few twin engine mini rallycross cars. I dare say rule changes put an end to them.
Anyone ever come across a twin engine car or better got one in their barn ;D?

I believe there was a twin engine 4 wheel drive Citroen 2CV.......could be wrong though.
-
Yeah...slide 5.
Next time I'll check first. :)

There was a Mini Twini (likely not an original) at the NEC Classic Car show a couple of weekends ago, and I remember a twin-engined Golf GTI that used to hang out at Santa Pod..

I accept I could be wrong here, but I didn't think you could use both engines 'on the road'? I have this vague memory from somewhere that says it's illegal. Granted there seems to be an exception for Hybrid.

Correct covered well on a derivative of Scrapheap challenge (Wacky Races?) with the Kaos Cab (two off 130bhp Cav 2.0 8V engines in a black cab)

Meh, try this: Wolfrace sonic (https://www.aronline.co.uk/concepts/wolfrace-sonic/concepts-and-prototypes-wolfrace-sonic/) two engines, six wheels - one of Nick Butler's finest

About 3yrs ago at a Volvo show saw a 850T5 where the owner had removed the rear seats chopped into that area and part of the boot floor and dropped in a second T5 motor, both engines had then been chipped/mapped and he'd added nitrous too :D
-
Might be improved traction but there is a weight penalty and complexity. I am not surprised it didn't catch on.

well they are permanently connected together, also phased at weird angles to mimic the sound of an early aero radial engine,so could be classed as a single engine
