Post by: Nick W on 26 December 2018, 15:16:26: I've a Town Planner friend who says he always tries to get streets named by somebody else; usually the developer. There's a number of recent streets in Hoo, off of Bells Lane, that the developer asked the local bell ringers for name suggestions. So the names like Grandsire Gardens, Headstock Rise etc, are all relevant and lacking in innuendo,

often the developer cant be arsed, the local parish council when asked dont reply for a year,

one lad I worked with managed to use all his kids names and his wife then parents...

I used to look on an old map for field names or woods etc,
