The old Omega did a great performance. I shorted the tour, because there are so many things i have do here in Lahr. Berlin must wait.
I got the job!!!!
Construction of High End turntables (100k€ class), set up prototypes and bring them to serial production.
Cheers!

IIRC Thorens are the business. Well done Rolf. :y :y :y

Congratulations!
Spending that kind of money on audio equipment boggles my mind, but high quality specialist manufacture must be a wonderful environment to work in. :y
-
That is good news. Well done with the new job.
850 km. I bet you arrived relaxed .we might say “ fresh as a daisy” !
-
Congratulations on the new job :y Really very pleased for you.

Great news Zirfield, congratulations on the job :y
850km in an Omega, that's just a trip round the corner. The Omega is one of the best mile crunchers I've ever been in.
-
Congratulations on the job. :y :y
Omegas are indeed a great car for covering long distance. I was driving a high spec Audi last night and this morning and although it felt like a superb car, I think I would still prefer the Omega for long distance.
Playing with the flappy paddle gearchange was fun though. :D

Congratulations on getting the job!
I hope you enjoyed the journey.
I cannot imagine who would pay 100k euros for a turntable, whether railway or gramaphone. My sons suggest disc jockeys. Please enlighten.
-
People with an ear for fine music and an unlimited budget I suppose. If I were a squiilionaire I wouldn't hesitate to spend that on a turntable.

You know that there are people who consider Perodua Nippys acceptable cars?

Awesome! 8) Congratulations Rolf! :y

I think you'll find most weekend DJs don't even use a CD player now, instead using a PC/Mac laptop loaded up with all the tunes. Modern software automatically does the beat mixing between songs.
Gone are the days when big bro used to abuse me to be his roadie lugging boxes and boxes of 45s in and out of pubs, along with his big lighting units, huge valve amps, linear PSUs and army of speakers, from his van. Now its a laptop, and amp, a pair of speakers on stands, and a light projector unit, all in the back of a Focus.

.. and it was all going so well until.. ::)
Well done on the new job, Rolf. Thorens are one of the classic names in Hi-Fi and it will be interesting to watch what comes next. :y
