This is'nt omega related but im hoping you guys will be able to shed some light on this constant problem........
right, my friend has a 2004 '05' Zafira 1.6 it keeps pulling to the left he's had it tracked up 3 times in less than a week(laser tracking), he's taken it to 3 different garages (tracking out everytime),hes had them to check all steering/suspension components with no problems, now this morning he informed me that its pulling again took it to 4th garage & the trackings out again.nobody seems to know the cause :'(
Do you guys have any ideas?
Thanks

Sounds to me like he's got movement in a joint or bush in the suspension somewhere so every time it's measured they get a different answer. Assuming it's being measured competently in the first place, of course. Most places who offer vehicle alignment don't know what they're doing which is evidenced by the fact that they haven't considered it odd that it keeps "going out of alignment" yet.
Make sure he's getting a full geometry setup too. Pulling is not going to be affected by "tracking" (I.E. toe setting) in itself. More likely to be camber / castor related.
I would say go over the suspension with a fine tooth comb replacing anything with movement in it then take it to a decent place for alignment, such as Wheels in Motion.

Try swapping wheels front to rear.
If the tracking was out previously then the uneven tyre wear can cause steering to pull.

seems there's definate play in something there

Cut & shut? Bent chassis?

did not know wim had a forum. Will remember that one. Sure i saw a post today mentioning the Zafira version of wishbone issuses, as on the omega. It did not go into details unfortunately.

Moved to General Chat, as not Omega related.

It's not due to the camber on the road by any chance is it? Might just make the problem worse.
