Title: MOT pass
Post by: alexandjen on 20 August 2008, 17:31:58
Mig passed MOT today  :o after changing both rear indicator bulbs as the coating was peeling off and showing white light.

I'm surprised as I know the wishbone bushes are shot and the tester was giving the front wheels some levering with a big old bar. Levered beneath the wheel with it jacked up slightly.

Oh well, gives me plenty of time to change them before the next MOT (if I've still got the car)  :y ::)

Good result matey -- always worrying when they get heavy with the levers, you never know what they are going to dislodge ..........

Bit like going to the dentist for a check up -- if the fillings weren't loose before they sure as hell are after !!!!!!

I never watch the MoT...don't want to see them distressing my car!

I wasn't just watching, I was sat in the car operating all the lights, rocking the steering, operating the brakes on the rollers etc.

A bit worrying when he looked at the headlight alignment and frowned a bit and then said "has this got adjusters on the headlights?" "No" I replied, "why is there a problem?"
"No they are spot on" he said.
"They're automatic with adjusters on the suspension" I said
Phew what a relief  ::)

So you helped out, did you?  Should have said to him "You sit in the car and operate the switches etc, I'll tell you if they're working".  lol
