Arrested and 'removed from the Ecuadorian Embassy'.

Could be interesting.

I doubt that it will as the CIA and MI5/6 will be all over this now.  Sounds as though he will soon be on a plane to the USA :y

Didn't he lose his internet connection ages ago, because he didn't play within the rules of his embassy hosts.

They don't use Gulfstreams (or C-20/C-37 in spotter parlance) for "extrodinary renditions' - they're reserved for real VIP's. They use C-32B's which are plain clothed dodgy serialed Boeing 757's with RR engines (longer range) and Air to Air refuelable in-case governments en-route get a bit fussy about the 'cargo'.

So the Ecuadorians released him as the UK promised not to extradite him to a country that practices torture or the death penalty.

Meanwhile the United States of America have started extradition proceedings.  ::)   :)

That wasn't quite the assurance that Ecuador asked for  ::)

But it sounds like he wasn't a great guest...

Sorry, they have been all over it with 5-eyes from day one, which is why in Spook circles they have publicised it for years as a netorous RU front. He was, quite rightly, progressively boxed in in every way which forced him to show his smelly hand where he had to move Wikileaks to his bosses country where it is RU hosted, RU registered URL & primary nameserservers. Good luck when you go onto the website, RU will give you plenty of 'free gifts' in return until their 'Christmas Day' arrives & you gratefully pay you Rubles to unlock your encrypted files or worse with their PC trashware.

I know a few folks who (first-hand) have experience of him being a sex pest, too.. apparently the CCC conferences/DefCon etc were where he used to pick up impressionable girls when WikiLeaks first popped up..

Any truth in the rumour that he only came out to get some razors?

Buy shares in Harry Kanes razors!

Apparently Sweden are considering re-opening the rape and sexual offences charges that they want him for.

I expect they will issue a European Arrest Warrant for him and the UK will send him to Stockholm, from where he'll get extradited to the US.

Face saved all round.  ;)

Now he's gone, the embassy can now permanently clear the smeared sh*t off the walls of his living area which was another of his perve pass times & smelly activities. :-[

I suspect 7 years self-imprisonment will be his shorter sentence. :y ;D

Would the plane not fly out of Northolt rather than one of the more commercial airports?

Probably as US recently laid on a special flight to ROI to extradite in their words "the world's most prolific pedo porn supplier". For the most wanted you get your own personal free flight & free board and lodgings foe the rest of your natural life. :y :y :y

I heard Northolt was close due to runway resurfacing. Prudent when they're going to have to rip it up again to build Heathrow runway 3. ;D

The Polish and Czech 'rendition flights' normally operate out of Biggin Hill. USAF C-32B's are very rare in the UK, but they normally operate to/from a USAF base like Mildenhall where they can control the security around the airplane a bit better. Ground staff don't even get to the bottom step of the air-stairs.

However, given this is a fairly high profile case, I doubt the USAF will want to expose too much of their clandestine ops to the Daily Mail/Sun. C-130 or C-17 therefore likely.
